FAQs & Party Policies
Booking a Party
We suggest booking your party 4-6 weeks before your party date. This will ensure that your character, party date, and time are available. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for booking.
Number of Children
There is NO limit to the number of children you may have with a princess at your weekend party. However, based on experience, we have found that a productive party has a ratio of 10-15 kids per 1 princess. However, If you have more than 15 children, every child may not get to participate in all activities. If you do have a large party, we also suggest looking into having another character join in on the birthday fun!
What do I need on the day of the party?
Nothing! Just enough room for activities! Your performer will call or text the cell phone number provided about 5 minutes before her arrival to confirm that she is near. This will give you time to gather the party guests and birthday princess in a location where you would like the activities to take place. Your entertainer will take it from there! The last 10 minutes of the party is left open for picture taking. (You may also take as any pictures as you’d like during the party!)
Gratuity is never expected, but it is greatly appreciated! Our cast members spend many hours studying their characters, rehearsing, perfecting makeup, and so much more!
Deposit & Balence
A $50 non-refundable deposit must be paid in order to secure Client’s event date. The deposit must be paid with 48 hours of the invoice being sent. If the deposit is not received within 48 hours, the time slot will be given to the next interested booking. Your remaining party balance must be paid 1 week before your party date.
Cancellations, Refunds, Rescheduling and Changing Party Date
We understand that life happens, so if you have an emergency and need to change the date or time after booking we will try to accommodate you as best we can and will apply your deposit to another date/time as a one-time courtesy. If you need to change the date/time, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can book other parties during your previously booked time, as well as try to accommodate your new requested time into our party schedule. Date/time changes must be done at least 1 week in advance.
In the event of bad weather, serious illness, or other unforeseen emergencies, we reserve the right to cancel the event and offer an alternative date if available. If cancellation by Gleam and Glow Princess Services occurs, a full refund of your payment and deposit will be issued. In the event of a party cancellation by the host at any time, your $50.00 deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee.
We will gladly participate in outdoor events, weather permitting. The characters will need a dry area free of mud and dirt. We will not be able to do an outdoor party or event if the temperature is 90 degrees or above. In order to prevent costume and wig damage, we cannot do outdoor events in rainy/inclement weather.
Any damage to Gleam and Glow Princess Services equipment, costumes or wigs will be chargeable at an appropriate amount for repairs or replacement. Any items which are lost or taken by a child, including costumes and accessories, will be charged to the booker.
It is the responsibility of the Guardians to advise Gleam and Glow Princess Services of any allergies or medical conditions relating to any of the activities, equipment, consumables, décor, accessories, face painting products/ makeup or food and beverage (hereinafter "items") used at the parties or events. Gleam and Glow Princess Services accepts no liability or responsibility for any adverse reaction to any of the items and Guardians should use their own discretion when allowing their children to use or consume such items.
We do not allow smoking, alcohol, or the use of any other substance while our performers are in attendance at a party. Any guest smoking or drinking will be asked by the Character Host to step outside. Failure to comply will result in the character leaving the party immediately with full compensation from the client.
For the protection of our performers and of our gowns, pets are to be leashed and away from the Character. The Character Host will ask any unleashed pets to be leashed or removed from the party space. Failure to comply will result in the character leaving the party immediately with full compensation from the client
If at any time a performer feels that they are in a threatening, hostile, unsafe, harmful, hazardous, or unsanitary environment, that performer retains the right to leave with full compensation from the client. The performer also has the right to refuse to perform services if the client is negligent, absent, inattentive, disrespectful, and/or inebriated or under the influence of any foreign substance
Gleam and Glow Princess Services does not assume responsibility or liability for accidents or damages caused during your party. However, you can be assured the party hosts will treat your home and guests with respect and care. Gleam and Glow Princess Services is not responsible for allergic reactions to wearing any costumes, cosmetics, or accessories, or consuming any food or beverages before, during or after the party. It is the responsibility of the guest and/or guests' parent or guardian to inform the client of any allergy restrictions and take the appropriate steps to avoid contact with such items. Gleam and Glow Princess Services is NOT responsible for any injuries, negligence, or unruly behavior during parties. Please act responsibly & chaperone all party guests.
